Hälsa Lappland is a special mattress that carries the miracles of the nature and the handcraftsmanship of Swedish experts into your bedroom.

100% Handcrafted

We combine rare, natural, and precious materials with cutting-edge technology and expert handcrafting to enhance your sleep quality. This special mattress promises a unique and captivating sleep experience. Lappland is made with 100% natural horsetail hair, organic cotton, and organic wool. The Swedish craftsmanship further elevates the natural experience of Lappland. The authentic layering and alignment of these natural materials contribute to a special night’s sleep with this mattress.

Hälsa Lappland’s hybrid style merges modern and traditional elements, reflecting a vision of using time-tested natural materials alongside Hälsa’s innovative technology.

Horsetail Hair

Our Hälsa mattresses feature horsetail hair specially imported from Austria, a rare and valuable bedding material used for centuries. The longest hairs on a horse, horsetail hair, act as natural coils within the mattress, fitting human anatomy perfectly and allowing the body to adapt to the healthiest sleeping position. This unique material also enhances air ventilation and prevents moisture build-up, ensuring a healthy sleep environment.

100% natural horsetail hair supports all the physiological curves of the human body and adapts quickly to movements during sleep.

TENCEL™ Technology

TENCEL™ fabric represents the latest in fabric technology. This unique material refreshes and cools your skin during sleep. It absorbs and retains moisture due to its breathable and dry nature. When the room’s moisture level drops, TENCEL™ releases the stored moisture. Made from eucalyptus tree fibers and free of chemicals, TENCEL™ prevents odor and ensures total comfort and hygiene.

Organic Mattress: Cotton & Wool

At Hälsa, natural materials are a priority, embodying our motto of “Respect for the environment and people.” Our organic cotton and wool materials are GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified. Hälsa mattresses meet European standards and are made ecologically to protect the planet. We carefully select the longest cotton fibers to create a unique sleep experience exclusive to Hälsa Lappland. This mattress is designed for a healthy sleep environment, friendly to your skin, and allows for natural breathability. The blend of cotton and wool is produced under special conditions, offering a healthy organic mattress option.

Pure Edge HD System

Developed by Hälsa sleep experts, the Pure Edge HD System increases the bed’s surface area, eliminating movement restrictions and preventing the sensation of falling while sleeping on the edge. This system provides more sleeping surface, enhancing overall comfort.

ProFlex® Spring System

ProFlex® is a durable spring technology from Sweden that ensures your spine stays correctly aligned. Reflecting the quality and purity of Swedish steel, the ProFlex® Spring Syste

m offers high durability. As the first bedding company to use ProFlex®, Hälsa continues the tradition of Swedish durability in mattresses. Unlike standard spring systems, ProFlex® adjusts well between different zones thanks to technological variations in the same-sized springs, providing an ideal sleep environment. It aligns with your spine’s natural position, offering controlled support.

The 5 Zone Spring System, part of ProFlex®, provides five different comfort levels to support sensitive body areas. The springs are aligned to support your shoulders, lower back, spine, and hips, offering an ergonomic bed surface. This system maintains your

body’s natural shape, helps your muscles relax, and promotes healthy blood circulation, minimizing numbness in the morning.

This mattress is suitable for single-side use.

1 and 3 weeks after you start using your Hälsa mattress, we recommend a rotation by changing to head-side to foot-side. With this technic, your process of getting used to your new sleeping surface will be easier for you. Afterward, every 3 months, we recommend doing the rotation for best usage.
Rotation is a very important technic for maintaining your mattress and also for enhancing your comfort. With regular rotation, your mattress will endure local pressures.

Spring system mattresses are not eligible for slat bedsteads or similar structures.

Why is the Use of Mattress Protectors Important?

A mattress protector is a protective layer placed between the mattress and the sheet. Acting as a barrier, it shields the mattress from dirt, sweat, dust particles, moisture, and other unwanted substances. Mattress protectors not only resist spills, stains, and leaks but also naturally extend the life of your mattress by keeping it clean and free from these contaminants.

How Often Should I Change My Mattress?

Regardless of how well you care for your bed, there will come a time when you need to replace your mattress. Your preferred sleeping position and body shape affect how your weight is distributed on the mattress. Regularly following mattress care instructions can extend its life, and using a suitable base is also crucial.

If you’ve been using the same bed for many years, you might wonder if it’s time for a change. Signs that it’s time to replace your mattress include waking up with pain, spasms, cramps, numbness, or stiffness; tossing and turning at night; not feeling rested upon waking; waking up due to your partner’s movements; and difficulty falling asleep. Changing your mattress is essential for your sleep quality and overall well-being, making it a valuable investment in your health.

Why is it Necessary to Change Beddings Regularly?

Regularly changing your bedding is crucial for maintaining the hygiene of your sleeping environment. Sweat, skin residues, and moisture can lead to the growth of microorganisms if bedding is not frequently sterilized. Therefore, regular bedding changes are necessary for mattress care and to ensure a clean sleeping environment.

How to Ensure Sleep Environment Hygiene?

Hälsa mattresses, made from entirely natural materials, breathe naturally. To maintain sleep environment hygiene, allow your bed to be ventilated regularly with each bedding change. This helps the mattress breathe and maintain its freshness.

How Should I Clean My Mattress?

We spend about a third of our lives in bed, so it’s important to take steps to keep it clean. Regular mattress cleaning helps reduce allergens in your bedroom and keeps your mattress looking and feeling new for many years. To prevent spots from setting or mold from forming, take quick action. Mattress cleaning is simpler than you might think and can be done with basic cleaning tools and common household supplies.
